Our pets are an integral part of our lives, and when a beloved companion leaves us it marks a time of loss and grief. Our Rainbow Bridge Memorial Page allows you to share your special animal companions’ memory.
We will be happy to put your tribute up on our web page to share, and give a loving "hug" to your buddy. There is no charge. Since we are all volunteer, it may take a week or so to complete our entry.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Pookie Pong, a senior beauty, was pure love, and her relocation to heaven leaves an emptiness that will not be filled. Pong was truly special and my personal hard drive is loaded with beautiful memories that I will cherish forever. She was surrendered to God with love and gratitude, but she is missed. Thank you to Pookie Pong for almost seven years of joy and loving companionship, and thank you to RU4Me for matching this gracious four-footed lady with me all those years ago, and for fostering Pookie Pong for an extended time before she and I were matched. Forever grateful, Pong’s 2nd Mom.

Kit was rescued by a volunteer as a small kitten. As she grew up pretty and strong, it finally came time for her to have her first big vet visit. They did the test for feline leukemia, and she tested positive. Everyone was in shock...she was so healthy, so lively...how could it be? We learned a long time ago that kittens may be showing a false result or may sero convert and be fine. Kit could not be sick! We waited and retested...still positve...This rescue is seriously no kill. Kit felt fine and there was no way she was going to be euthanized because she might die "sometime." Unfortunately, it is very hard to find fosters or adopters for FLV+ kitties. Kit went to several different homes, but always adjusted and had her lively version of cat life. One day she rejected her favorite food. Maybe just a bad day...the next she was listless...after 4 years, the horrible disease went acute and took our feisty girl. Kit gave us all years of her unique personality and we gave her our caring and love. Her life was not as long as we all wished for, but we know it was as good, and normal as we could make it. This darling boy was abandoned for over two weeks in the locked garage of a foreclosed home...a neighbor heard weak mewing, and did what he had to do to liberate the poor kitty. Not a drop of food or water was there... he was beautiful, but painfully thin under his fluff of fur. Weak as he was, all he wanted to do was nudge his head against your hand for comfort and love. Karma had his vet checkup and went to his foster home to get back in shape for a new life. Care, lots of food, a contented life, Bones still stayed thin, although happy. Another vet visit brought the horrible news that our little man had cancer. Bones did not know it though, and continued to rule as lord of the bedroom, clinging to the warmth he found with his fosters, Nini and Lew...months later his time finally came, but he passed over knowing he was very loved and valued...we were very lucky to have our time with him - he had been treated like trash, but he was a treasure... These sweet girls were abandoned in bookbags on the shelves in a pet store. Stunningly beautiful, it soon became apparent that they both had severe neurological problems that probably resulted from exposure to a toxin. Although they struggled to walk, and had the occasional seizure, the sisters responded to medical care and love, and became favorites of the vet staff at Banfield. Even though there was no cure, they enjoyed a life together in a legacy foster home. Sadly, final seizures took these darlings within a month of each other.
