FOSTERING SAVES LIVES!
Not sure that the timing is right for a new family member? Worried whether your existing fur baby would welcome a new fur sibling? Just want to save animals? Then fostering might be the right option for you.
If you are thinking about adoption, but not quite sure of the impacts of having a new dog or cat, or if you just love animals (the more pets in your home the better) please consider joining our foster parent team.
What is Fostering?
Foster parents take animals into their homes on a temporary basis, and care for them as if they were their own pets until they can be adopted to new homes. Fostering requires the feeding, cleaning, grooming, and playing with the fosters.
RU4Me Pet Rescue provides all supplies and medical care and you provide the love!
Helping the Rescued Pets!
Fostering is excellent for rescue pets, as it allows them to become adjusted to family life. It also allows us to better assess their temperaments, and their likes and dislikes.
Some rescues are special needs and require extra care. They may
sick, stressed, or frightened and may
require a few weeks of extra attention to become ready for adoption.
Great for Potential Adopters!
Fostering is also a great way for potential adopters to see if a particular type of pet (dog or cat) will suit their lifestyle. First time pet owners may not completely understand the amount of work (and the amount of joy) that can result from adding a cat or dog to the home.
Current pet owners might want to add another pet to their home, but may not be sure how their existing pet will adjust. By being a foster parent, potential adopters can care for a pet for a finite amount of time, without making a formal adoption.
Join our Foster Family!
RU4Me Pet Rescue does not have a shelter facility or paid employees - we rely completely on volunteers and foster homes. We'd love to talk to you about fostering! Stop by the Boynton Beach PetSmart any Saturday from 10 to 3, Sunday, 11 to 3, to talk more about the joys of fostering. Or, fill out an application HERE! If you see a special pet here on our site, mention him or her in your message. (Most of our pets, both cats and dogs, are available for foster.)
